California Department of Public Health (CDPH)

NCNA's Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program is approved by the California Department of Public Health, which regulates CNA training programs throughout the state.

Required Disclosures

Institutional Disclosures

In compliance with state and federal regulations, NCNA provides the following disclosures to prospective and current students.

School Performance Fact Sheet

The California Private Postsecondary Education Act requires institutions to provide a School Performance Fact Sheet (SPFS) to prospective students. The SPFS contains data on completion rates, placement rates, and graduate salaries. A copy of the SPFS is available upon request by contacting our admissions office.

Student Right to Know

Under the Student Right-to-Know Act, NCNA is required to disclose information regarding completion and graduation rates. This information is available to all enrolled and prospective students upon request.

Tuition & Refund Policy

NCNA's tuition rates, fees, and refund policies are disclosed in the enrollment agreement provided to all students prior to enrollment. Key points include:

  • Students who withdraw within the first 60% of a program may be eligible for a prorated refund.
  • Registration fees are non-refundable after the start of class.
  • Students are encouraged to review the full enrollment agreement carefully before signing.

Complaint Resolution

Students who have complaints or grievances regarding NCNA may contact the following agencies:

  • NCNA Internal Grievance: Submit a written complaint to the Program Director at info@ncnursingacademy.com.
  • California BPPE: Students may contact the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education at www.bppe.ca.gov or call (916) 431-6959.
  • California CDPH: Complaints regarding CNA training programs may be directed to the California Department of Public Health.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

NCNA complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which affords students certain rights with respect to their education records, including:

  • The right to inspect and review education records.
  • The right to request amendment of inaccurate education records.
  • The right to consent to disclosures of personally identifiable information in education records, except as permitted by FERPA.
  • The right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning alleged failures to comply with FERPA.

NCNA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic in its admissions, programs, activities, or employment practices. NCNA is committed to providing an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.

Drug-Free Campus Policy

In compliance with the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act, NCNA maintains a drug-free campus policy. The use, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs or alcohol on NCNA property or during NCNA activities is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination from the program.

State Authorization

NCNA is authorized to offer its programs in the states where it operates. Prospective students residing outside of these states should contact NCNA's admissions office to confirm program availability in their state prior to enrollment. Authorization does not constitute an endorsement of the quality of the institution or its programs.
